Keeping the Ballet on Pointe

Queensland Ballet and Flip have maintained a fruitful creative partnership over the last few years, with 2024 being no exception. We’ve worked together on everything from campaigns, digital and OOH advertising and season creative direction.

One of our favourite projects, was creating the print-ready program designs for all QB performances over the last 4 years. In 2023,
this meant producing 9 new programs from January to November, varying from 8, 12 or 16 pages.

We worked closely with the Queensland Ballet team, using a tight schedule of reviews and deadlines to ensure we produced the creative at a consistently high level that pulls readers into the distinct world of each story.

Seamless imagery and content

The Queensland Ballet team supplied us with a range of gorgeous imagery and refined content that we loved utilising to create pages that held harmony in aesthetic and layout.

This meant striking the perfect balance, allowing both elements stand out, with no visible border in between, allowing a gentle interplay between the beautiful imagery and copy.

A new leaf

We had a lot of fun working on the programs, even creating fun activities for the younger members of the audience. This included colouring-in activities and trace the dots.

We created these with care by hand, helping to introduce the younger generation into the whimsy of the ballet.
